Principal contractor, Castle, has completed the full refurbishment of a 50,000 sq ft industrial unit at Didcot Way, Boldon Business Park.Castle was appointed by UK Land Estates to undertake a category ‘A’ fit out to oversee the conversion to a factory, office and warehouse unit.

Community engagement a critical part of Tyne Coast College’s relocation project
Hebburn-based, Castle, has launched a community and stakeholder engagement programme in its role as main contractor for the relocation of South Tyneside College and South Shields Marine School, part of Tyne Coast College.The £95m project is a partnership between Tyne Coast College and South Tyneside Council. It is being funded by Tyne Coast College, the North East Combined Authority, the Department for Education (DfE) and UK Government.

A striking riverside building in South Shields is set for a new lease of life as modern student accommodation, following the approval of a planning application by South Tyneside Council.The former BT business centre at One Harton Quay, which overlooks the Tyne, will be repurposed into a 125-bed student residence.
