Exhaust air vented from a building contains heat energy - energy that's going to waste. You can reduce your heating costs by capturing that heat and recycling it. That's what matched pairs of run-around coils do. One coil extracts the heat from exhaust air, the other transfers it to a cooler stream of incoming air. The heat is transferred between the coils by interconnecting piping and a pump/control package.
Applications
- Heat recovery
Efficiency
- Efficiency per volume unit is less than that of a plate heat exchanger whilst utilising low pressure hot water. Other mediums can be utilised which produce higher efficiencies of recovery
Materials
- Aluminium
- Epoxy coated aluminium
- Aluminium with Hygroscopic surface
